Topping-out ceremony held for apartment buildings at Kalda Street 3

On Wednesday, October 28, together with the client Kaldakolme, we brought down the topping-out wreath from the roof of Kalda Street 3. We are constructing three apartment buildings for the Nõmmeveere development in Nõmme, situated between the Harku forest and Kalda Street, and the structural frames of the buildings are now complete.

The buildings are constructed from precast concrete panels and feature large wood-aluminum windows. Solar panels will be installed on the roofs, the apartments feature geothermal underfloor heating, and the calculated energy class is A.

According to Project Manager Erik Normak, the large windows require precision from the builder. “If the joints are not proper, the thermal insulation suffers,” he stated.

Winter necessitated some adjustments: the start of the work was delayed, and concrete elements initially arrived more slowly than we had hoped. Meanwhile, construction prices have also risen. “However, we have not cut corners at the expense of quality. This is largely thanks to the team and the subcontractors,” Normak noted.

We began construction at the beginning of this year. Interior work is currently underway, and the buildings are expected to be completed in the spring of 2027.

The Nõmme-Harku health and hiking trails are approximately 100 meters from the buildings, while schools, kindergartens, and the Nõmme market are nearby by bicycle. Some apartments are still available; more information can be found on the nommeveere.ee website.

Thank you to Kaldakolme, architects Angela Talumets and Ra Luhse (AB Luhse ja Tuhal), landscape architect Piret Müüripeal, and all the subcontractors!
